Day 1Mombasa - Tsavo East - Taita Hills Salt Lick
This Tsavo east and Salt Lick safari begins with a departure from your hotel at 0600hrs and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi road to the first gate of Tsavo East National Park. Enter via Bachuma gate and embark on your first game drive in search of elephants, the man eaters of Tsavo, buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes etc. Visit the famous Aruba Dam, where lots of game can be seen. Later drive to Voi Safari Lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Taita Hills Salt Lick with game viewing en-route to Salt Lick Lodge/Taita Lodge for dinner and overnight. Salt Lick Game Lodge in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is built on stilts around a waterhole and a Salt Lick - both attractions for a large array of wildlife, especially elephants. In the evenings the animals gather at the waterhole - a spectacular sight to behold, to drink at the watering hole.
Day 2Taita Hills Salt Lick - Mombasa
Early morning game drive there is possibility to see (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffes if you are lucky). Then stop for lunch at Lion Hill Lodge, after which drive back to Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.
